Thomas Schäfer is Managing Director of bluesign technologies germany gmbh located in Augsburg. Since 20 years he works in the textile area with focus on environmental aspects as well as product safety.
Under REACH each producer, importer and supplier of textile articles bears responsibility to article´s safeness. The presence of substances that may have very serious effects to human health or the environment needs to be laid open and communicated. The presentation is aimed at helping stake holders to understand the REACH regulation for articles and to be prepared for fulfilling their obligations.
